The MTCM maintains an important role in the United States and international Montessori community. This includes presentations, conferences, workshops, mentoring, and consultation.
The Director of Training, Molly O’Shaughnessy, has given talks and workshops around the country. Most recently she gave the Primary Seminar for the AMI/USA Refresher Course, Observation: The Foundation of Genius. Other recent presentations, keynotes and workshops include those given in Australia, California (Century Forward), Maryland, Mexico Minnesota, Nebraska, Texas and Wisconsin.
Included in this section are samples of work presented by Molly O’Shaughnessy. Peace, the Unknown, was a keynote given at the National Educate for Peace conference in Minneapolis, sponsored by AMI/USA in July 2002. The second offering, Children and the Environment, was presented at the 23rd International Montessori Congress in Cancun, Mexico in July of 1999.
Additionally, the MTCM publishes newsletters as a service to MTCM graduates and the Montessori community. It provides updates on training center offerings, suggestions and ideas for the classroom, as well as articles. The most recent newsletter is available here.
